Who sorts all this out when I die?

From April 2027, your executor will have to deal with your pensions as well as everything else you leave. Daniel is sorting out his dad Ray’s affairs. Before the inheritance tax can be worked out, he has to track down every pension Ray had, including one from a job he left in 1991. We see when the £72,000 bill is due and how Daniel gets the pension schemes to pay it straight to HMRC while the house is still for sale. His biggest worry was paying it out of his own pocket. He doesn’t have to. The video ends with something you can do today: write down your pensions and tell your executor where the list is.
